Q: What are your capabilities? Are they project based or multi-tiered? A: Capabilities include strategic marketing, concepts and designs for ads, brochures, direct mail, logos and identity development, as well as broadcast, web, media , planning/buying and public relations. We welcome a wide-range of partnerships – ranging from project-specific to multi-tiered long-term planning and execution.
A: The Tanney is run by students of Kent State University with experience and/or an interest in marketing, advertising or integrated communications.
A: The Tannery has a strict internal review process in which all work passes through multiple hands before reaching the client. The managing director also acts as Creative Director and ensures the quality of all projects.
A: Working with The Tannery is a similar experience to working with a traditional agency, in which an account manager is assigned to each client and serves as the main contact for the firm. Associates from various disciplines are added to the team based on the nature of client work.
A: Yes, The Tannery is open year-round, regardless of the break schedule of the university.
A: Yes, The Tannery is a stand-alone business responsible for paying wages, rent, utility, etc. Our goal is to make enough money to keep the experiential learning opportunity going for students and hope to be in a position years down the road where we can pour anything extra back into scholarships and equipment upgrades. Our rates are below that of a professional agency. |
